Overview
The 4TB Mercury Elite Pro External Hard Drive from Other World Computing combines both USB 3.0 and FireWire 800 connectivity making this a versatile drive that can be utilized with computers running Windows, Mac, and Linux. This drive features a SATA interface along with a 16MB Cache and a 7200 rpm rotational speed. Data can be transferred to and from the drive quickly and efficiently with support for data transfer rates up to 300 MB/s over USB 3.0, with additional connection options including USB 2.0, USB 1.1, FireWire 800, and FireWire 400.
The drive is placed in a rugged aluminum enclosure that helps to guard against minor drops and vibrations. Additionally, the aluminum enclosure also doubles as a heat sink to keep things cool.

- The Elite Pro combines a fast 7200 rpm hard drive with fast interfaces to achieve transfer speeds up to 300 MB/s. It features two FireWire 800 ports (FireWire 400 compatible) and a USB 3.0 / 2.0 port. It's also plug-and-play and easy to connect to any Mac or PC.
