ABOUT
The story behind the style.
STYLE NO. 8109 : CLASSIC OXFORD
The 8109 is a moc toe oxford, classically crafted with Mahogany Oro-iginal leather, a Traction Tred rubber outsole, traditional Goodyear welt construction and triple stitched quality to function as a durable and smart-looking shoe.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
Inspired by the iconic 875 and 877 work boots, Red Wing’s Moc Toe oxfords were built to meet the demands of factory managers who needed sturdy work shoes that could function behind a desk, as well as on a factory floor.
MATERIALS
How it's made.
OIL-TANNED LEATHER
S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for oil-tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 108+ year history.
